Hardy Blechman founded Maharishi in 1994 with the aim of taking a pacifist approach to military-grade utilitarian design. Maharishi gained huge popularity in the 2000s era due to their great baggy fitting clothing and the wonderful embroidery that usually features on the back of their trousers and jackets.

This particular piece was released in 2010 and features a unique asymmetrical hem which is runoired to be inspired by older military and western jackets, where the raised hem on the left side allows for a more comfortable and compatible fit with a gun holster. There is a 2-tone zip, multiple pockets and drawcord cuffs that are adjustable.
